Patty drove Tony to ER on Sunday 8/15/21 at 12:30pm- Dr. Cappelman’s office was called that
morning for another update and they sent him to the ER based on what he reported. They did
the O2 test over the phone and he was 92’s- 95’s during the call when standing. Dr. said (Leslie
RN Practitioner) just go and get some oxygen.
8/15/21, Sunday
3:51pm Starting IV. I should’ve stayed home and taking my
chances.
4:40pm (Patty asks do you have oxygen?) No, You can leave and I’ll call you.
5:10pm Call Cappelmans…… see if she can find out what’s going on?
5:32pm They have done absolutely nothing… no fluids, no oxygen He said the oxygen levels
were good. But he’s trying to figure out a way to keep me for observation overnight.
5:44pm Now on fluids (Patty texts back next time you see the doctor have him call me with an
update please, no rush.) Ok
He called Patty the next morning and said they finally put him in a regular room at 5:30am.

2:16pm This is the hardest thing ever. Patty texts- It will be OK, I’m fighting hard to get this
other treatment for you today or tomorrow. I’m making lots of calls, do you know me, I don’t
stop. It’ll be ok, keep fighting, I need you to keep fighting so I can get this for you.
3:53pm Oh, I’m fighting this sucker. I feel like I’ve made a little headway. Lungs are looser. Patty
texts (she hasn’t been allowed in to see him since he was admitted and she just went to the
check in area to see how she can get in there) Patty texts- Good. That’s what I want to hear. I’m
here downstairs to talk with the doctors and be closer to you. I’m fighting for you. You are the
man as mom says. Just play the cow song. He says I am cow. I’ll catch you later. Patty says
Love you.
Patty got the head nurse to come and talk to her and then she let her go up to see Tony. She
explained that the whole time there was a 30m visit lottery system where you call in everyday and
ask for a visit. Patty had been there several times to bring Tony stuff and they would never let
her up. He was so happy I was able to come up there. He said it helped him so much.
(Remember he has been by himself except me taking him to the hospital since 8/6 -2
weeks)
-Patty started asking for Ivermectin and Monoclonal Antibodies this day – the head
compliance doctor I asked for and he said Tony already has antibodies and Ivermectin
doesn’t work.

12:20pm I need you to bring me a spirometer. Hospital must be out and I haven’t had it since
the last room. Patty says Ok where do I get those, Walmart? Tony says Dr. Kaplan came by and
basically said there is no more meds to use that COVID is same. I’m gone… he’s pushing me
I’m sure. Yea… Walmart or drugstore. Patty says ok. Tony says focus is strictly on 02
retention… I love you. Patty says perfect. You can do this. I’m heading there soon. Tony says
YES.
5:21pm (Patty called Dr. Kaplan before visiting Tony and told him to never talk to him that way it
doesn’t work, he will give up. I explained he can’t get up and walk around as he suggested with
a blood pressure 80/60). Patty texted to Tony -Talked to that doctor. I want you to try your
hardest to be on your stomach for hours tonight as much as you can. Push yourself even more,
you can do it. I want you home and the more you do that the quicker you will be home.
Tony texts Was he better with u? I know he’s pushing right??
7:32pm Patty texts yes he was sorry not his intention. Tony texts 1 ½ hours done… breathing
treatment then back at it. Patty says Yes! You got it! Bust it. So proud of you. 1.5 hrs prone?

6:48am Nope, Setback. Patty texts Good morning dear! Tony texts 95% O2. Patty says
What?!?! Awesome! Tony says No I require 95, not 70. Can’t breath maxed out. Patty says It’s
ok. I’m working on another treatment today. Keep working hard. Are you on your belly? Tony
says Prone caused the SOB. Patty says oh ok breathing tx? Tony says IM sure later, literally
can’t text without losing my breath. I love you. Patty says I love you, use your energy for that I’ll
try and get an appt later too. I am here you are my man. You got this it’s ok. Tony says Ttyl
8:27am Breathing treatment down. Patty says Yes! Tony says have an amazing day cause you
are beautiful. Patty says I love you!!!! You are my man. Tony says I’m just a boy.
10:59am Good talk with nurse. Patty says Awesome! I get to see you soon.
1:30pm Patty spoke with Dr. Zang and she approved the IVERMECTIN (took me 4 days to get
this done). Tony’s was at 95% VAPO oxygen, could hardly talk or text without SOB.
Dr. Zang said he would get later today.
6:18pm Patty asks How are you? I had them give you a new med that’s helping a lot of people
did you get it? Tony says They have it… supposed to get it later. Patty says Yeah. I’m gonna call
first thing in the morning to get another visit with you for tomorrow too I got to see that pretty
face again. Tony says I can’t wait. Patty says I love you more than you could ever know. I’m a
pitbull out here for you. Tony says… I know. Love you more.

7:42am Not sure. Patty texts ok I’ll find out. How are you my love. I just called to get another
visit today. Can I bring you anything today? Tony says a small banana shake or smoothie. Patty

8:29am I love my wife. She rocks. Patty says I love my husband more. So many people rooting
and praying for you/you would be amazed! Tony says I know but it feels so lonely here
sometimes. I miss everyone. Patty says they miss you we will get back to our old crazy times.

7:13pm Love you. Patty says I love you. How are you feeling?
7:28pm I am feeling pretty good… Just weak, tired my oxygen still 80. Lots of mucus coming
out. Patty says that’s ok the pulmonary guy said but don’t force it he said. Tony says Shift
change soon for nurses, should get a breathing treatment soon. Patty says good, keep doing
spirometer too. Tony says yep… every commercial, trying to stay awake so I can sleep through
the night. Patty says still feel better than yesterday? Better bed helped? Tony says yes. (I asked
a nurse to look at his bed it had a huge tear and he said it was uncomfortable. They changed
him out of it and gave him a bath (Luva RN, friend of my friend Katrina)

Patty says always, doing lots behind the scenes to help you. I’ll tell you it all one day. You will

much for a while)

Before Patty walked in Dr. Zang said she gave him IVERMECTIN last night and he is already
down to 80% VAPO!!!! Look how much better his color is. When Patty walked in he was down to
75% at 1:08pm, not even 24 hours after first dose of IVERMECTIN.

9:00am Good morning beautiful. Patty texts you are loved! Called for my appointment. Tony
says awesome thanks. Patty says I can come at 5. Tony says Yes, of course you are always
wanted. He sends a picture of his VAPO oxygen percentage is now at 45%. He says I need to
brush my teeth.
1:08pm If I convince the nurse could you get some shave cream and a razor and help me
shave. I know I would feel so much better. Patty says sure let me know.
1:47pm Yes… It’s fine! She is also going to ask if they can put me on musinex… it’s helping
others. Patty says Ok great I’ll try to get out before I come at 5. Then he sends pics of what to
get.
6:12pm Patty says take the medicine (IVERMECTIN) 6 tiny pills she gave you. Tony says
DONE… thanks for the reminder. I love you and can’t live without you!!!

8/26/21 5:22pm before he shaved (asked nurse if Patty could bring shaving stuff) then at
6:05pm was the reveal. Look at him sitting up and even able to take off his O2 cannula.

9:25am Good morning beautiful. Patty says Good morning how was your night? He says
Decent, night nurse was terrible and woke me up too many times.
12:52pm I miss you. Can’t wait to be in the cottage.

5:11pm They took me down to 6 liters of oxygen… so far so good. Patty says awesome almost
there. Tony says maintaining a 94% saturation level. Patty says that’s my man. Tony says Pray
for this evening, it might get tough when I turn but I can do this.
6:29pm You are loved! You are wanted! You are desired! You are beautiful! You are perfect…
just like God made you!!! Patty says I am exhausted. Tony says I know you are… you gotta
figure out a way to take care of you. I know it’s not easy for you but disconnect from your phone
while you can. Don’t worry about visiting tomorrow… please use this time to get some rest. I’ll
miss you but I’ll survive and you need it.

7:41am Patty says are you ok? RN called early and said she was at lunch and he was
struggling to breathe, they had to do alot of things he is stable now but he is now downstairs.
9:58am Now I am… what a night. Patty says were they not there to help you right away? Tony
said to me over the phone he pushed the button over and over, then started to scream then they
were there big time. Just woke up and couldn’t breathe. Patty says I’m so sorry! I’ll be there at 2.
Tony says ok… sorry to scare you. Patty says I’m glad you are ok. Tony says me too. Patty asks
are you on VAPO? He says Yep.
12:18pm Just did doplar ultrasound on both arms and legs. Patty says ok how was it? Tony
says couldn’t tell me results but from earlier the CT of my chest didn’t show anything. Matter of
fact every test/lab/CT/xray we’re better than the ones prior to this mornings episode. Patty says
That’s good jut got too low and they didn’t move fast enough for you. Tony says they tried but I
fought them hard. They had 7 people in there immediately they stuffed a big white ball over my
nose and mouth and finally relaxed.
1:48pm Now a ultrasound of my heart. Patty says I’m about there

You’ve done more than most wives have done for their husbands. Patty says I’m trying for my

10:20am Pirzada just came by. Time is always their answer. I’ll be home by Thanksgiving. Patty
says talking to different doctors be there soon. Tony says she wanted to know if you were
medical… I told you that you have a lot of friends one of which is a cardiologist and she blasted
him saying basically that this isn’t a cardiac problem, let the lung doctor and hospitalists handle
the lungs and COVID… once again… we have done everything in our protocol. Bring
mouthwash and toothbrush please.
12:54pm I just left a complaint with AHCA (Agency for Health Care Admin) concerning
administration not wanting to GET IN contact with us. You may be getting a call from AHCA.
Patty says perfect I hate that you or me have to even do this you know what I mean. I love you

8:24am Morning sunshine. Patty says Nice!!! Love you how was your sleep? Chelsea made
breakfast. Tony said sleep sucked but got a little bit. Patty says you were so tired? Are you
hungry or thirsty? Hey call me if you see the pulmonolgist I’m leaving a message for him too. I
have a lung inflammation med that is awesome. I want to add this.
8:35am Food is coming. Patty says it decreases the inflammation to open your airways more.
Tony says Ok… the lung dr. Patty said yes. Tony says ok. He will refuse… his line, “we have
tried everything” Patty says nope probably a new guy anyway I’m thinking positive you doing too
I’ve gotten many things approved. After they said no. Tony says Dr. Santora is the critical care
dr today. Lung dr. said he will call you later. Lung dr. said ultimate decision on Santora
concerning further tx or vent. Patty says not talking vent your numbers are good right now. Ok
Tony says I know. I’m on hold waiting to talk with the nurse. Tony said lung dr. says I’m on too
much oxygen to allow me to eat. Patty said last night the nurse said you could let me find out.

Right now the real fight begins!!!! Thank you for all of your prayers and well wishes, it has truly
meant a lot. Unfortunately my condition has come to the point that I may need to be put on a
ventilator. I am at peace with what the future holds and I will fight this things like I have never
fought before. As everyone knows Patty is the strongest woman in the world and continues to
fight for me! She is incredible!!! I’m asking you to help me bring her some joy at this difficult
time. When Patty and I met in college we had a silly inside joke involving elephants. Can you
please bombard her with elephants of all kinds? I need her to feel joy and know that she is so
loved by me and that she is my heart!!! Please, if you can help me it would put a smile on my

7:07pm Any idea why they stopped giving me meals? Dr. Segal took them away? Why? He said
I couldn’t eat on Friday and they haven’t sent a meal in since. Patty said he wants more liquid
foods, he wants your body to work not as hard he said. Do the pb crackers, pedialite, figs,
gatorade. We will do chipotle again soon no worries.
8:52pm Blood gases excellent per respiratory therapist. Patty says I knew it exactly my gut is
your are going to push through!!!! You will be SOB for a while as you heal just gotta keep getting
in your groove to overcome this crazy mess. You CAN do it!
9/5/21 3:15pm they let Chelsea in since she was going on tour/work for 2 months. This was the
last time she saw or spoke with her father.

7:21pm Patty says just dropped three protein bars at the front desk and they are going to bring
them up. Tony says thank you. Patty says I have more I can bring tomorrow tell me if you liked
any of those. Anything for my guy.
8:42pm Patty says are you awake? Tony said just had breathing tx, I am going to try and sleep.
Patty says ok you need ativan at 10:30pm you want me to call the rn then? Tony says ok. This is
doable but soo hard. Patty sends two funny memes You got it dude.
10:51pm Patty says are you up the rn is bringing your ativan. Tony says thanks Patty says did
you eat some dinner? Tony says sorry sleeping no dinner I’ll eat like crazy tomorrow. Tony
sends heart emoji. Patty says did you take the ativan? No response
09/07/21, Tuesday
5:20am Call. Call Hospital. Patty says I calling at 5:22am
He told Patty he was having a hard time breathing nurses said he was in the 60’s for O2. He
said “I think I need to do it” Patty said OK let’s do it. He said I love you, I’ll see you later, I will be
ok and I will see you later.
NO MORE TEXTS OR CALLS CAME!
Thursday, 9/9/21
Patty was called early in the morning to come in he was in the 70’s O2 levels. His kidneys were
failing and his heart rate was erratic. (the day before they started feeding tube)
His levels kept going lower and lower, 60’s, 50’s then both heart and O2 went to 0’s.
Patty was with him when he passed at 8:06am.
Data on Oxygen Ups and Downs for Tony
8/15/21 admitted 1:30pm Maintained O2 per data no additional oxygen given until next morning
(he was sent to the hospital for only oxygen why did they give him other stuff like Remdesivir)
8/16/21 Given Remdesivir 5 day treatment
8/19/21 Given 15 liters of O2, max can be given, now needs another machine but need to find a
bed on 5th floor
8/20/21 Put on VAPO at 45%
8/22/21 On VAPO 70%
8/23/21 On VAPO 95-100% -Patty Pushed hard and got IVERMECTIN approved he got the first
dose in the evening
8/24/21 On VAPO 80%
8/26/21 On VAPO 45%
8/27/21 NO MORE VAPO it is turned off. He is only on 6 liters of regular oxygen
(episode early the next morning, using nurse call button no one coming, had to scream)
8/28/21 on VAPO 65-70%
8/30/21 on VAPO 40%
8/31/21 on VAPO 100%
9/1/21 on VAPO 90% then back to 100%
Stayed on 100% and then on 9/3 added a breather mask as well.
