Mike and Shannon’s Story
Marsha was exposed on 10/6/21 and by 10/17/21 was not feeling good. As a result she fell. Son Mike found her and immediately called an ambulance. When she arrived at the hospital, her sat rate was in the 70sk and she was admitted. No monoclonal antibodies were offered, only Remdesivir and the bi-pap machine to assist her breathing. They also put her in a prone position to help Marsha breathe better.
On 10/22, daughter Shannon was home and didn’t go to hospital as mom seemed to be fine. However, by mid afternoon she received a frantic call from the hospital staff stating they needed to vent her immediately or she would die. Marsha was scared and said “I don’t want to die”. Little information was given to the family regarding the decision to ventilate or not. They were told multiple times over a period of time there were “crashing” events. They finally agreed.
The family requested alternative medicines like Ivermectin on 11/7/21 but were denied. There was a constant insistence about signing a DNR because mom “would be tortured if CPR” was used. The family was told this was a dangerous track with her condition. Again, in the middle of the night, the family was told Marsha had a cardiac arrest. She was sedated over a period of 6 weeks and seemed to be improving.
Meanwhile, the Ethics Board was to meet however son Mike was ill and requested they postpone it. The purpose was to take her off the vent as she was deemed non-essential care. The family had to obtain a lawyer in order to stop the meeting from occurring while Mike recovered.
Right around Christmas, Marsha appeared to be improving, according to the hospital. During the duration of Marsha’s hospitalization the family was harassed about their vaccination status. “We were always trying to stay one step ahead of the medical staff.”
After 89 days on the ventilator, Marsha, beloved mother, passed away on January 19, 2022. Hospital stated the cause of death was Covid pneumonia, sepsis, septic shock, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) etc. The family disagrees. The hospital protocol using Remdesivir with the ventilator caused Marsha’s death. There are discrepancies throughout the medical records. The family is still seeking answers.
