COVID-19 Humanity Betrayal ㅤ Memory Project

I was sick at first, so very sick. I didn’t know it was Covid until I had already been around the family. Dave and I went to the Dr the same time and the Dr said we haven’t seen Covid in months I will be surprised if it’s Covid. It was and he said where have you been to contact it? Who knows where we contacted it? Probably the drinking water. Because after we got it began to spread again like wildfire.

Dave had pneumonia when we went to urgent care to be tested. They gave him a steroid shot and said if he isn’t better by Saturday go to the hospital. Well, he wasn’t better and I was so sick also. So I called the ambulance. Dave was out of it. Couldn’t remember his name or birthdate but he remembered what we had heard if you go to the hospital you die in the hospital. He said to me as the ambulance was taking him what about what happened to people….the ambulance guy said what is he talking about and I said how did you go to the hospital you don’t come home alive. The guy was speechless and didn’t say a word after that.

They put him in a Covid room first. He was there one night and they called me in the middle of the night and sled if I wanted him to have the antibodies. Again I am sick and not sure what is happening not with it since they woke me up out of deep sleep. I asked if they had proof it helped because I wasn’t familiar with it. They said they didn’t have any evidence. I was confused about why he should get it then but I said can I tell you in the morning. So when I called the next day and said yes I want him to have it they said he was doing better and the doctor didn’t think he needed it.

They took him to ICU later that day saying it is just for precaution. BS I was so upset because to me that meant he was getting worse. When he got to ICU I asked again about the antibodies, they looked in the chart and it said I denied it. Which was a lie. They let me visit for 1 hour each day. The first day the nurse was so nice. She said you can stay longer than 1 hour. They weren’t being too strict with it.

Well, the next day I had some rude nurse who wasn’t even his nurse pop in and say you have been here longer than an hour you need to leave. I told her what the night nurse had said the night before and she argued and said that wasn’t true. We have rules in place blah blah blah. If that was her family member in there she would feel differently. What’s the difference between 1 hour and 12 hours? Nothing! It was so pitiful seeing him in there. It still gives me nightmares. I don’t know what meds they gave him because I haven’t gotten his medical records yet.

It is just so very painful. Telling this much has been awful reliving it. I relive it every night when I close my eyes and at random times when I am driving or at work or anytime random images of him in there pop into my head.

They called me on 7/26/21 at 4 am telling me he wasn’t going to make it and that I needed to come to the hospital. I didn’t understand because the day before he was better. They had reduced his vent that day to 80% because he was doing better I didn’t understand how this could happen.

When I got to the hospital a random doctor came and asked to speak to me privately. They asked if after seeing what he was going through if I would get the Covid shot so the same thing wouldn’t happen to me. I still said no I wouldn’t get it.

The Dr also asked me if I wouldn’t have them do CPR on him because he had already been through so much that it wouldn’t do any good. I again said no I wanted CPR done because I wanted them to do everything possible to save his life. Well, he ended up passing at 8:25 am and they did do CPR but I had them stop a few minutes in. He was already gone it wasn’t doing anything. They had already killed him before it got to that point.
