David Ray Torres was 64 years old when he came down with Covid. Unfortunately, he fell victim to the deadly hospital Covid protocol. His brave son is here to tell his story, to keep his memory alive, and try to keep what happened to his dad from happening to anyone else.

His dad went to the hospital on 10/31/2021 because he was a little short of breath. He was hesitant to go but was encouraged by someone to go ahead and seek medical attention. We know he received remdesivir, but the dosage and timing are unclear since they are withholding the records from his son. There was no communication between the hospital and Mr. Torres’s family. They had to call to try and get any information about what going on and often found out major decisions were made without so much of contacting them at all. They sedated and ventilated him, and the family did not find out for days later. They told his son, Michael, that he was getting agitated and violent with them because he wanted out of the hospital, so they strapped him to the bed. His son even found his body strapped to the bed when he went in after he had passed. According to his son, he was not a violent man and was most likely fighting with them because he did not want to be sedated and ventilated. Again, sounds like the misuse of a ventilator, being used for behavior control. His son was refused the alternative treatment he asked for and was forced to just let them treat his father how they wanted to, which was to do basically nothing except put him on a machine and wait for him to die. When he went in to see his dad after he passed, they would not let him look at his father’s body. It was covered up to his neck by a sheet and told Michael, if he looked at him or touched him, they would call security. Makes one think they might have something to hide.

The treatment of David Torres and his family is unacceptable. No one should be kept from their loved ones during the times when they need them the most. More importantly, no one should have to die alone when they have family that loves them and wants to be there for them. This virus has a 99% recover rate and if they are so proud of their vaccines, then they should trust them enough to let the families of the dying spend their final moments together. It is a cruel and inhumane policy that his happening in our hospitals since this pandemic started and these draconian protocols were accepted by what used to be a place we trusted. Since the covid pandemic, our healthcare system has turned into a cruel and deadly place that has lost the respect and trust of many American people. We stand by Michael and his family to try and get justice for his father and see that he did not die in vain.
