COVID-19 Humanity Betrayal ㅤ Memory Project

On Christmas Eve December 2021, my husband and three other family members got sick with Covid on December 31, 2021. My husband said he needed help a little with breathing. So, my son-in-law took him to the hospital and dropped him off. He was at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda California for about a half a day and then came back.

I didn’t expect him to be back. My expectation was that maybe he’d be there two or three days to get some help with breathing. Like my brother had when he was sick. He walked through the door and I asked him if they had hydrated him. He said no.

Then I asked if they gave him any meds or prescription for meds. He said no. I asked if they sent him home on oxygen and he said no. David told me they have him a Covid test and a chest x-ray. Then they sent him home to rest for a couple of days. I asked if they gave him any IV fluids. He said no.

So he rested for two days. On the second day he said he needed some help with breathing. So, we took him to a different hospital. Redlands community Hospital instead of Loma Linda University. They admitted him there. I did not talk to any doctor or got any information on him for I think it was 3 to 4 days.

When the doctor finally called me in the evening he apologized. He said that his child was sick and that’s why he hadn’t called. And I said I was just grateful that someone called me. He said that my husband was on a BiPAP and that he had pneumonia in his lungs. He talked about a few other things as well.

After we hung up I asked my daughter to pull my husband‘s my chart from the first hospital Loma Linda University to see if there was a chest x-ray and a radiologist report. There was and it showed he had pneumonia in the bottom part of his lungs. They never told my husband that he had pneumonia. If I had known he had pneumonia I would have sent him to a better hospital. I think that if he would’ve known he could’ve got a jump on some sort of other medication and would be alive today.

I feel that the doctors from the first hospital emergency room were negligent. I’ve talked to three different attorneys and none of them will take my case because they said it involves Covid. Now I am hooked up through the C 19 Widows and Widowers for Justice and FormerFedsGroup Humanity Betrayal Memory Project. I am trying to get information and advocate for my husband to receive accountability.

I currently have pulled all the medical records from the second hospital Redlands Community. A nurse friend of mine is going to look over it so she can tell me exactly what they gave him every single day. What the dosages were and how he was treated. I am just looking for justice to be served for the negligence that not only the doctors did but also the nurses and our own government. And everybody else that was involved and doing this to all of us people. We all lost our spouses our best friends the love of our lives. It just makes me sick to also learn that these hospitals would rather push a drug that is harmful to people and doesn’t work than treatments that are safe and work.

WHO sent out notices to hospitals saying not to give severe Covid patients remdesivir because it does not work. They didn’t listen.  it also makes me sick that the way my husband was treated in that hospital. He smelled so bad and my husband was the cleanest person in the world. When we got there the day before he passed he patted himself on the body. I said do you want me to wash you and he nodded yes. That makes me sick that he was in there for 13 or 14 days with no way to wipe him down. Also, while we were there that day before he passed we were there from 9:30 AM till 6:30 PM. Not one time did anyone come in and offer me my daughter or my son a cracker, water anything. The rag that they had provided for me to wipe him down with and the little tiny bit of water that I was given was not sufficient.

On one occasion when they went to put something into his IV my husband‘s eyes got big and he started to panic. We said what are you giving him? They said they were gonna give him a medicine that they already had given him that made him have anxiety. That does the opposite effect on him so it’s like nobody was paying attention to what they were supposed to give him and what they were not supposed to give him. We told them he cannot have that and already told you guys he has the opposite effect it makes him anxious. So with that being said, when they had given it already to him prior to that and with the breathing problem he had no wonder he had difficulty breathing. I even question whether or not they were giving him the right dosages on steroids.

If they were giving him any antibiotics or vitamins, I don’t see it on the records. I know that he didn’t eat for days because he told me he was hungry in the little breath that he could speak with the Bipap. As soon as I get the information on the records to see what he was given every single day I would really like to advocate for not only my husband but also for all the other victims out there. It makes me sick that this was a senseless death especially knowing that there were other meds out there that they could’ve been treated with and they all could’ve lived. And how negligent the first hospital was and not telling him that he had pneumonia in the bottom part of his lungs.
