Over the course of four months in the hospital, I lost over 75 pounds, suffered a stroke, was declared brain dead, sedated and comatose for over 6 weeks. My wife was submitted to mental duress every day that she had to contend with the hospital protocols that prevented her from advocating for my recovery. She is still struggling with the lingering emotional damage they intentionally subjected her to. Over a year later I am still feeling the effects of the dozen episodes of pneumonia, Pulmonary Fibrosis and the lingering effects of strokes suffered while in the coma. Intensive physical therapy has restored many of my former abilities. But each day is lived with the shortcomings in my physical health.

They proved over and over that what they were interested in was their bottom line and the financial incentives from using the COVID protocols implemented. On or about Sept 6th, I started suffering from a case of hiccups. It interfered with my sleep and after a few days (9/9/2021) I called our local health clinic. They referred me to the emergency room. When I checked into the Mat Su Regional ER, they tested me for Covid and measured my oxygen level in the 80s.

They admitted me with a diagnosis of Acute Hypoxic respiratory failure. For the next 120 days I was subjected to the entire Covid Protocol. Which included supplemental oxygen, sedation, intubation, tracheotomy, Remdesivir, Baricitinib, and approximately 100 other drugs for everything ranging from heartburn to Arterial Fibulation.

Out of the hundred or so medical personnel that I was exposed to, only a handful had my health and possible recovery at the front of their actions. The majority of the medical staff made no bones about informing both myself (when I was conscious) and my wife that even if I lived, I would at best, be unable to communicate or live without complete life support. My medical isolation was only ended (after 60 days) via a Superior Court Judge and the advocacy of a local journalist group.

While the hospitalization was a four-month journey, the subsequent road to recovery has given me the insight into how strong my support was from my wife and my family’s support of her. I want to be able to point to our story and information being utilized in helping others in our situation. And to give any support I can to bringing those responsible to justice.
