My mom was to be discharged at 4:30 pm on 5/14/2021. At 3:45 they called me e route to the hospital to pick her up to tell me she had passed out. They said they were going to do tests and find out why. As of 11:30 pm they still hadn’t done any tests to find out the cause of her pain or passing out… at 4:45 am she died.

My mom had gone to the urgent care at the first onset of symptoms and they said she was negative for Covid and they sent her home with antibiotics. She kept getting worse, so I finally against her will basically I took her to the hospital to get help. She had pneumonia and her oxygen was at 67. They transferred her by ambulance and sent her to the bigger hospital. Throughout the whole experience sometimes I’d go 36-48 hours with her only being the one to update me. Id call the nurses station and be told I’d get a call back and never did. It was very frustrating. She was to be discharged… we had the home health care, oxygen, medicine everything set up for her to come home. The morning she was to be discharged she was complaining of gas pain… which I thought was very weird cuz she hasn’t had any of those problems prior. The nurses knew about this and didn’t inquire about tests or even let the doctor know. At 3:45pm she passed out so they said I couldn’t come get her cuz she needed to be checked over night but they were going to do a cat scan and run some tests. At 12:30 am she started to code and she was gone at 4:45 am. 12 hours and 15 prior to death she was coming home.
