Other hospitals (Banner) were allowing family in. Why wasn't Honor Health? I tried everyday to see Derek. On the 19th the drs called me in a panic and said they needed to put him on a vent. Derek never wanted to go on a vent. On Christmas Eve when they told me I needed to come in to sign off, they told me I needed to sign a DNR. I asked if our children could come in and the nurse said, yes, you can have as many people as you want. I said, 300 people? She said, yes. Yet prior to signing off, I wasn't allowed see him.

The Interview with Lydia McDonald
Life After Covid Protocol
Written by Lydia McDonald(Husband)
Derek McDonald, a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, friend and business owner, died of COVID on Dec. 24th, 2021. We started dating at 15, married at 18. This year would have been 25 years married. He was a strong healthy 42 yr old. Never sick. No pre-existing conditions. I even asked, if anything showed up on his bloodwork. We have two children that won’t have a father growing up and my best friend by my side. We had a company together and we were together all day, every day. I fought to see him every day even when other hospitals in Arizona were allowing it.
I asked to have ivermectin and high doses of vitamin C, Zinc and vitamin D3 administered, as well as, asked why not throw everything at this. I was told it wouldn’t work. I was told I wasn’t the professional. They were giving him baricitinib (which causes blood clots, pneumonia, is an immunosuppressive, malignancy, thrombosis, urinary tract infection, cellulitis, sepsis, and causes viral infections that could lead to hospitalizations and death) along with other very heavy meds to keep him “calm”, as well as being on high flow oxygen for about two weeks. I was told these meds are better than the latter (death). I yelled and asked the doctor if she took an oath to do no harm? She shouted back at me that her hands were tied, and this was the hospitals protocol.
I wanted him moved to a different hospital or facility and she said, they couldn’t find one that would take him. That was the last time I spoke with that Dr. They were always too busy for my calls. He was left in his room, isolated and depressed, with no one to visit him for 3 weeks. Meals left in the hallways for hours until they were free to finally bring them in. He was getting up to go to the bathroom without aid, and one day almost passed out. I wasn’t allowed to see my husband the entire time he was in the hospital. Early on, I did find his hospital room and he was able to sit in the chair and look at me out his window as we spoke on the phone.
One morning they called me in a panic and said they were putting him on a vent because his oxygen levels were too low, and they had no other options. We did not want this but felt forced. He was on a vent for a week, before they called me and told me to come say goodbye. Then they told me I could have as many people as I wanted to come say goodbye. I said, 300. They replied as many as you want. However, I wasn’t allowed to see him when I called just days/hours before. There was a bedsore on his face that was as big as his entire cheek and oozing. It was from being prone for so long and not turning him or checking for pressure points.
They told me I shouldn’t do CPR because of his ribs breaking and it could puncture a lung and cause unnecessary damage. It was like a nightmare, and I was numb. I felt helpless and didn’t know any of our rights. Then they told me it was time to sign off to turn machines off. It was over. Our lives would be forever changed. No human or family should ever be treated this way or kept from their loved ones. They were shorthanded in hospitals, why wouldn’t they then allow loved ones in to help?
These hospitals and drug companies need to be held responsible!!!!
